Maintenance / Hygiene

General Philosophy

Now that you’ve successfully achieved your desired outcome with a dental treatment, it’s important to preserve the results with a maintenance program. We recommend a detailed three month maintenance appointment so that we can monitor any issues that may occur after your dental procedure such as dental decay, periodontal breakdown, or dental material breakdown. These appointments are just as important as the procedure itself.

Additional benefits of a maintenance program include:

  • Sustains long term results of your treatment
  • Catch any potential complications following the procedure
  • Prevent relapse of dental condition

Think of your treatment as something that needs to be taken care of over a period of time, not just a one time event. Maintenance may be prescribed either in my office or alternating with other specialists or general practitioners that have been a part of your treatment or ongoing care.
