Dr. Bradley Shemluck
Dr. Shemluck graduated from Boston College with a BA in Economics and was commissioned the same day as an Officer in the United States Navy. Shortly afterwards, he reported to his first duty station in Coronado, CA and completed Basic Underwater Demolition / SEAL (BUD/S) training. He served as a SEAL Officer for 12 years; deploying worldwide in support of military operations.
Following his last deployment, he made the decision to change professions because he wanted to prioritize the people that made this all possible, his family. His drive to become a dentist started with a great deal of soul searching and the advice of a family friend, who was also his general dentist growing up. Dr. Shemluck admired his willingness to help others, the genuine concern he showed for his patients and his ability to positively impact their lives.
Dr. Shemluck earned a dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco through the Navy’s Health Services Collegiate Program and immediately reported to the Navy’s Boot Camp at Naval Station Great Lakes as a general dentist. Working alongside numerous highly trained general dentists and specialists, he enjoyed the collaborative environment that allowed him to comprehensively treat his patients and prepare them for military service. After 20 years of service, he retired from the Navy in June of 2023. During his tenure in the Navy, Dr. Shemluck also worked in private practice in the Chicagoland area but decided the Sunshine State is a better fit for him and his family. He is excited to practice alongside Dr. Chasolen and his team, while providing the Sarasota community with excellent dental care.
When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his amazing wife and two wonderful children. His other interests include: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, woodworking and enjoying the beautiful Florida beaches.
